CHEDDAR Workshop “Shaping Future of Advanced Connectivity Technologies” – IEEE ICC 2026
Following its successful debut at IEEE INFOCOM 2025, the second edition of the CHEDDAR Workshop (SWS-02) moves to the IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC) 2026 in Glasgow. Under the theme “Shaping Future of Advanced Connectivity Technologies—Deriving Transformation via Agentic AI, AirComp, and ISAC,” the workshop aims to bridge the gap between theoretical breakthroughs and practical 6G implementations.
This edition places a critical emphasis on interoperability as the foundation for seamless collaboration across four key pillars: intelligence, sustainability, security, and resilience. As the industry moves toward a “Connected World for Sustainable Future,” the workshop will dive deep into the architectural evolution of 6G and the technological drivers defining the next decade of connectivity.
Key topics of discussion include:
- Next-Generation RAN Architecture: Evolution toward open and programmable networks.
- Agentic AI for Telecom: Moving beyond simple automation toward autonomous, goal-oriented AI agents.
- Over-the-Air-Compute (AirComp): Unlocking new efficiencies in edge computing systems.
- Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC): Merging radar and communication functionalities within the RAN.
- Hardware/Software Codesign: Optimizing the stack for future 6G requirements.
- PoC & Field Deployments: Practical insights from real-world 6G testbeds.
one6G Participation
one6G is proud to be represented at this premier venue for 6G innovation. During the workshop’s panel session, Prof. Neeli Prasad (Smartavatars), a distinguished member of the one6G Association, will be a featured speaker.
Prof. Prasad will provide a dedicated presentation on one6G’s latest activities, white papers, and global contributions, highlighting how the association is actively shaping the standards and use cases discussed during the workshop. This participation underscores one6G’s commitment to fostering international collaboration and driving the technical consensus required for the 6G era.
