one6G and Bharat 6G Alliance join forces to accelerate global 6G innovation and harmonization
The one6G Association and the Bharat 6G Alliance (B6GA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), officially exchanged during the inauguration of the 3rd International Bharat 6G Symposium, in New Delhi, on October 8th. Earlier, an initial e-signing had been conducted in a collaborative spirit during the one6G Summit 2026 at King’s College London on September 11, 2026, with key leadership from one6G—including the association’s President and Chairwoman—present on-site in London, while representatives from the Bharat 6G Alliance leadership team had joined online.
This strategic partnership establishes a joint framework for collaboration and joint efforts towards the design and development of unified 6G standards and technologies that provide ubiquitous, trusted, and high-quality connected intelligence for societies and industries. By bringing together one6G’s global ecosystem and B6GA’s comprehensive cross-industry representation from India, both organizations aim to drive technological innovation while supporting the creation of globally aligned, interoperable telecom standards.
The collaboration will focus on key strategic areas, including design principles and the development of 6G architecture, system concepts, and future use cases to achieve high performance, reliability, ubiquitous, and intelligent connectivity. Recognizing the importance of unified international frameworks, one6G and B6GA intend to establish structured dialogue mechanisms to coordinate their efforts in contributions and collaborations, and within potentially key global standardization bodies, such as 3GPP and ITU. The partnership will also actively engage vertical industries to shape real-world industrial 6G applications, ensuring that emerging connectivity solutions effectively serve both societal and commercial needs worldwide.
To realize these goals, both parties will explore and pursue deeper technical engagement across priority themes through potential joint studies, knowledge-sharing initiatives, workshops, and pilots. Members from both organizations will gain opportunities, as coordinated, to contribute to joint publications and participate in each other’s events, creating a strong platform for continuous exchange and global consensus-building.
By combining B6GA’s alignment with India’s national 6G vision with one6G’s commitment and international momentum, the collaboration aims to strengthen the global standards and supply chain for affordable, secure, sustainable, and intelligent telecom solutions. The partnership marks a significant milestone in fostering international synergy across industry, academia, start-ups, and research institutions to build a cohesive global foundation for 6G that serves regional and usage scenario needs.
