one6G and GTI sign MoU to accelerate wireless innovation and 6G development
one6G and the Global Technology Association of InfoComm (GTI) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) establishing a formal framework for strategic collaboration. The agreement was signed at the one6G Summit 2025 in Bologna, Italy, by Prof. Mohammad Shikh-Bahaei, one6G President and Javan Erfanian, Senior Director of Strategy at GTI.
This partnership is a key step towards fostering international cooperation and leveraging shared expertise to drive the wireless industry forward. The agreement outlines several core areas of collaboration, beginning with a commitment to an active exchange of technical information between the two organizations. This will involve sharing technical knowledge and best practices with the aim of identifying new opportunities for cooperation. Furthermore, the collaboration will extend to contributing to each other’s events and publications. A central focus of the partnership is to actively collaborate on the development and verification of digital intelligence and 6G technologies, helping to facilitate the overall progress of the wireless industry. This will be supported by expert knowledge exchange sessions.
This strategic alliance underscores one6G’s and GTI’s dedication to building a global network of partners to ensure that the evolution of 6G is based on a diverse global network of partners and perspectives, and on a harmonized and collaborative approach. By combining their resources, knowledge, and industry reach, the two organizations are well-positioned to drive innovation and address the complex challenges of the future.
Commenting on the partnership, Prof. Mohammad Shikh-Bahaei, said, “This Memorandum of Understanding with GTI marks a significant milestone in our commitment to fostering global collaboration. By joining forces, we can leverage our combined expertise and resources to accelerate the research, development, and standardization of 6G technologies. Our shared vision is to build a truly harmonized ecosystem that can effectively address the societal and industry needs of the future.”
Madam HUANG Yuhong, Secretary General of GTI, added, “Our close collaboration with one6G will further enrich GTI’s commitment to working with industry, research, and academia towards integration and promotion of innovative, sustainable, and inclusive digital intelligence technologies, and building a global robust ecosystem.”
