The one6G Association and the IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc) of The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Incorporated (IEEE) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking the beginning of a formal relationship between the two organizations. This agreement sets the stage for a closer collaboration aimed at supporting the development and dissemination of advanced wireless communication technologies, including 6G.

With this MoU, one6G and IEEE ComSoc commit to working together to advance their shared goals through a series of collaborative initiatives. These include jointly sponsored events, participation in each other’s conferences and technical forums, and mutual support in providing expert speakers for sessions, seminars, and meetings. Additionally, the two organizations may organize side activities at one another’s events to further foster dialogue and knowledge exchange within the global connectivity community.

Prof. Nancy Alonistioti, Chairwoman of the one6G Association, commented: “This MoU with IEEE ComSoc represents a significant step forward in our mission to shape the future of wireless connectivity. By aligning our efforts with one of the world’s leading communications societies, we are strengthening our ability to drive innovation, promote knowledge sharing, and support the development of impactful solutions for the 6G era and beyond.”

By combining their respective strengths—one6G’s active role in shaping 6G research and standardization, and IEEE ComSoc’s long-standing leadership in advancing communications technology—the partnership is poised to facilitate innovation, cross-disciplinary dialogue, and the wide dissemination of insights critical to the future of
wireless communications.

This agreement represents an important milestone in one6G’s strategy to build strong ties with like-minded organizations, reinforcing its mission to drive global progress in next-generation connectivity through strategic collaboration.
