The one6G Association (one6G) and the 5G Alliance for Connected Industries and Automation (5G-ACIA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the 5G-ACIA Plenary in Tokyo in December 2025, establishing a formal framework for strategic collaboration. Building on the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the two organizations, the partnership continues to foster a global ecosystem for industrial use cases enabled by 5G and 6G.
The collaboration reflects the shared commitment of one6G and 5G-ACIA to advance innovation, standardization, and industry adoption of future wireless technologies. By bringing together expertise from the telecommunications and industrial automation sectors, both organizations aim to ensure that emerging 6G capabilities address the evolving needs of connected industries worldwide.
The partnership focuses on identifying topics of mutual interest, exchanging information and publications, conducting joint promotional activities, and facilitating participation in selected meetings and events. Through regular coordination and knowledge sharing, the organizations seek to strengthen the dialogue between the communications and industrial automation communities and contribute to globally aligned technology development.

As part of this collaboration, one6G and 5G-ACIA will jointly host a webinar titled “6G Use Cases for Industrial Automation” on July 15, 2026 at 15:30 CEST.
