one6G Announces Election of New Chair and Vice-Chairs for the 2025–2027 Term

one6G is excited to announce the results of its leadership election, reappointing Nancy Alonistioti as Chairwoman of the Board for the 2025–2027 term. Alonistioti, an Associate Professor at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, continues her leadership of the Association, bringing continuity and deep expertise in future network technologies.

Joining her as Vice-Chairs are three distinguished members:

• Riccardo Trivisonno, Head of Lab at Huawei Technologies, who has been re-elected and continues to play a key role in shaping one6G’s strategic direction.

• Narcís Cardona, Director of the Research Institute at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, who has also been re-elected for a second term as Vice-Chair, strengthening the academic and research-driven vision of the Board.

• Mehmet Basaran, Senior Researcher at Turkcell, who joins the leadership team as a newly elected Vice-Chair, bringing fresh industry insight and strong regional representation.

This leadership team reflects both continuity and renewal, with a balanced blend of experience, innovation, and global perspective. The Chair and Vice-Chairs will work closely with the one6G Board to guide the Association’s mission to accelerate the adoption of 6G technologies for secure, resilient, and sustainable connectivity that meets the evolving needs of industry and society.
