one6G Highlighted at INFOCOM 2025 Diversity Panel

On May 20, 2025, one6G was represented during a thought-provoking panel on Tech Leadership and Diversity, held at INFOCOM 2025 at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge in London. Organized by WICE, N2Women, and ACM-W, the session brought together distinguished female leaders from academia and industry to share their experiences, address challenges in leadership pathways, and discuss strategies for advancing diversity in the technology sector.

Alongside Carla Fabiana Chiasserini (Polytechnic University of Turin), Dorota Filipczuk (Microsoft), and Francesca Meneghello (University of Padova), Mona Ghassemian (Huawei) joined the panel and presented updates on one6G’s recent working progress and deliverables. Her intervention highlighted the importance of collaborative research platforms like one6G in creating opportunities for inclusive participation and knowledge sharing across the global tech landscape.

The panel discussion addressed persistent diversity barriers in tech leadership and emphasized the role of mentorship, skill-building, and proactive institutional support in empowering underrepresented groups.
