one6G publishes a White Paper titled “6G technology overview”
On June 9, 2022, the one6G Association officially released a White Paper titled “6G technology overview”. The announcement was made during the EuCNC & 6G Summit 2022 in Grenoble by the Association’s Chairwoman, Nancy Alonistioti.
“6G technology overview” outlines the key enabling technologies that constitute the pillars of the evolution towards 6G, such as Terahertz radiation, 6G radio access, next-generation MIMO, integrated sensing and communication, distributed and federated AI, intelligent user plane, and flexible programmable infrastructures.
For each enabling technology, a background covering the how and the why the technology is relevant to 6G, followed by a number of relevant use cases is provided. The key challenges are also outlined, providing a comprehensive overview of the state of the art of each covered technology.
The White Paper is work in progress. Its future versions may include other relevant technologies and ideas of how the technologies could be linked together in a coherent system.
