one6G celebrates its 2nd birthday

Exactly two years ago, we embarked on the exciting one6G journey of evolving, testing, and promoting the next-generation cellular and wireless technology-based communications solutions.

A lot has happened since then:

• 112 members from nearly 30 different countries have joined our association, bringing together research excellence from ICTs, verticals, and academia.
• 4 Working Groups remained active on several fronts, taking new Work Items under their umbrella along the way.
• We released five papers, the latest one titled “6G and Robotics.”
• We provided four critical contributions to the ITU-R‘s “IMT Vision for 2030 and Beyond” and look forward to providing further inputs as invited.
• We organized two successful editions of one6G Summit, gathering dozens of high-level speakers and hundrets of participants from around the world.

Building on the success achieved to date, we have planned a lot for one6G’s third year of activity!

• A special one6G session on THz communications will take place at the 49th Wireless World Research Forum (WWRF).
• A Special one6G Sessiontitled, 6G enabled Network Applications for the Future of Connected Robotics will take place at the EuCNC & 6G Summit.
• Open Lectures will continue, with Lecture 6 on Sustainability in 6G taking place on June 15.
• More papers will be published.
• A third edition of one6G Summitwill take place in November (for the first time in a physical location!).
