one6G presents the Intelligent 6G System Architecture at NoF’24

On October 4, 2024, one6G Vice-Chair, Riccardo Trivisonno of Huawei Technologies delivered a keynote speech at the 15th International Conference on Network of the Future (NoF 2024) to illustrate recent results from one6G WI207, laying a foundation for an intelligent 6G system architecture.

The NoF 2024 was hosted by the CTTC on October 2-4, 2024, in Castelldefels, Spain. Its program reflected the research and innovation trends in the networking and the internet design. The event featured 3 keynotes, 9 technical sessions, 2 demo sessions, 1 panel, and 2 tutorials. Riccardo presented the latest results from one6G Work Item 207 “Intelligent User Plane and In Network Computing”, an activity with joint contributions from Docomo Eurolabs, CNIT, Huawei, NTNU, University of Thessaly, ITAV, and KCL. The keynote illustrated the potential impact of AI on the 6G System Architecture, with a particular focus on how 6G intelligent user plane, paired with network sensing capabilities, may become the key enabler for future robotic applications, XR, and immersive services.
