one6G Chairs Publish Industry Outreach Paper in IEEE Xplore

one6G Chair Nancy Alonistioti and one6G Vice-Chairs Narcis Cardona, Patrick Waldemar, and Riccardo Trivisonno just published a key industry outreach paper in IEEE Xplore. Titled “Establish an Open Platform to Foster 6G Innovation and Research,” the paper outlines the Association’s overarching vision to drive the development and adoption of 6G. As an open research and innovation hub, one6G is focused on creating a sustainable, affordable, accessible, and ultra-high-performance 6G system. This includes pioneering new services and applications across various sectors like autonomous driving, smart manufacturing, and e-health.

The Association is actively engaged in several critical areas, including the development of 6G enabling technologies, strategic technology planning, validation through joint innovation and trials, defining use cases and business plans, and contributing to regulatory evolution. The paper underscores one6G’s commitment to building a flexible, resilient, and efficient ICT service platform that provides trustworthy connectivity for everyone, everything, and everywhere. one6G aims to foster international collaboration and engage a wide range of stakeholders, from academia and industry to global operators and regulatory agencies, to realize the full potential of 6G.
