On March 25, 2025, the European Robotics Forum Workshop #52 took place, bringing together leading experts to explore the pivotal role of 6G technology in shaping the future of robotics. Jointly organized by one6G Working Groups and euRobotics Topic Groups, the workshop fostered collaboration among researchers, industry professionals, and end-users.

The discussions highlighted how 6G will drive innovation across various robotic applications, including healthcare, manufacturing, and disaster response. Participants examined key robotic requirements, emerging use cases, and standardization challenges, making the event a valuable platform for knowledge exchange and networking between the robotics and communications sectors.

A significant highlight of the workshop was the release of the latest one6G White Paper, 6G Empowering Future Robotics: Mapping Requirements and Advancements for the IMT-2030 Framework, presented by Professor Kaspar Althoefer from Queen Mary University of London. This White Paper has been endorsed by euRobotics aisbl and IEEE P1955.

About the European Robotics Forum (ERF) 2025

Organized by euRobotics, ERF 2025 took place on March 25–27, 2025, at the Kultur- und Kongresszentrum Liederhalle in Stuttgart, Germany.  The event attracted over 1,300 participants from European research, industry, and politics, with more than 60 sponsors supporting the extensive program. Under the theme “Boosting the Synergies between Robotics and AI for a Stronger Europe,” ERF 2025 showcased the latest advancements in robotics and artificial intelligence, fostering collaboration between research and industry to shape future technological developments. The event’s rich program included over 50 workshops covering topics such as application trends in industrial and service robotics, generative AI in robot programming and control, and humanoid robots. An exhibition of robot and AI-based applications, networking events, and site visits to the regional robotics ecosystem complemented the program.
